Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1990 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a global nonprofit partnership housing ministry dedicated to 'A world where everyone has a decent place to live'. Our mission statement of Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope, is what guides and drives our work. We strive to empower qualifying families by providing them the opportunity to partner with Habitat to achieve decent, affordable housing solutions through new home construction, home rehab and home repair. Our Rapid City and Spearfish ReStores offer an assorted variety of new and used materials for home improvement and renovation.
