About Us: Once Upon A Child® buys & sells gently used and new kids' stuff: including: clothing, shoes, toys, equipment, and baby gear. With a focus on quality, safety and value. History: Once Upon A Child® was founded by Dennis and Lynn Blum in 1985. At the time the Blum’s had three growing boys and were looking for a way to recycle the items they no longer used and buy items at affordable prices for their rapidly growing family. Their idea was quite simple – provide a fun, efficient process for families to buy and sell their kids' stuff. They opened their first Once Upon A Child store in Perrysburg, Ohio.
